Apple is set to introduce a new wall-mounted display with artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities for controlling devices, video conferencing, and navigating applications, according to sources cited in a Bloomberg News report on Tuesday. The product may be announced as early as March next year, and it will prioritize Apple’s new AI platform, “Apple Intelligence.”

Apple has not yet responded to Reuters' request for comments on the report.

The high-end device may be priced up to $1,000, depending on the materials used, though the display-only version will have a significantly lower price. Once released, it is expected to compete in the smart home market with popular devices like Google’s Nest Hub and Amazon’s Echo Show and Echo Hub.

The Bloomberg report describes the AI wall display as resembling a square iPad, roughly the size of two iPhones side-by-side, with a 6-inch screen available in silver and black. While a standalone device, certain functions will require pairing with an iPhone.
